One of my dear childhood friends passed away years ago from cancer. She was such a great friend and I spent a lot of time at her home growing up. Although we didn't attend the same high school, we still kept in touch. I remember when she died. I remember how it was hard to see her sick and I was afraid. While watching the news tonight, they had a story about her and her close relationship with President Monson. It made me sad to see her again and see her sweet parents. President Monson spoke at her funeral and had a special relationship with her. Her story is a great one. She was such a great example to us all.

Sweet story of her relationship with our Prophet. Thanks for the link to the story.
Touching story...thanks for sharing.
Isn't it amazing how life plugs on day in and day out. Then we lose a loved one and realize how precious life is. I also had someone very close to me die that was close friends with President Monson. He spoke at her funeral too. I was so sad, I missed her funeral. Thanks for sharing.
Hi there, I happened across your blog from a comment you made on Julie's blog--the three categories of moms. When I linked to your blog and began reading this entry I thought of Wendy immiately and HAD to link to the full story on KSL. Sure enough, it was about Wendy.
I was in Wendy's sisters' (Kathryn & Jill) ward. I heard Jill talk about her sister's friendship with President Monson. The story was beautiful and forever etched in my memory.
The KSL online summary only scratches the surface of that amazing situation, as I'm sure you know better than me.
The link says the story will be aired again. Thanks to your entry, I will be watching.
I have since moved out of that ward but will always remember what that family went through and how they dealt with it. What an example!
That is neat. It was hard to say good bye to Pres Hinckley but as I get to know Pres. Monson, I sustain him with my whole heart.
I linked over to you from Amy's blog because I used to live across the street from her and thought I might know you.
I'm sorry for your loss.
What a neat story. I always like to hear how these busy men touch individual lives that way.
By the way, it is such a small world, but did you know that you link to my sister-in-law, Julie's blog. I realized that when an earlier comment said they linked to you from a comment you left there. That is so funny! Julie is awesome and has a great blog. How crazy!
What a sweet story, thanks for sharing. Pres Monson has touched so many people on a personal level, what a great example he is!
