Driggs, Idaho

Last week our little family went on a vacation. We were so excited to get out of town and out of the 100+ temperatures. Little did we know that it was just as hot there as it was at home. I took Will and Ben on their first horseback ride in Grand Targhee. They both rode on their own horse. Will kept stopping his horse so it would run to catch up to Ben and our guide. They had so much fun. It was only an hour ride, which was long enough. Given the recent bear sightings in Utah, and me being the last rider, the only thing on my mind was getting attacked by a bear! Yes, I am a little paranoid. The boys and Mark fished in a family oriented pond. Mark spent most of his time between Will and Ben, untying knots in their lines. The next day Mark was able to get his Rod out and cast a bit in Warm River.

We met my mom in Ashton and went on a ten mile bike ride along Warm River. It was such a beautiful ride, riding along the river and through an old train tunnel. After the ride, we were all so hot, that the boys undressed and jumped right in the river, in their underwear! Oh, to be young again, without a care in the world.

We spent a day in Yellowstone, visiting the geysers and searching for the elusive bear. We did see many other types of animals, including a moose, many bison and elk. We were even in an area where two wolves were, but we couldn't see them.

The last day we spent in Jackson on our way home. We did a little shopping and ate lunch there. It is always nice to go away, but it is so nice to be home in your own bed. We rented a cute little cabin in Driggs, Idaho. I am ready to get our own place up there somewhere. It is so beautiful!!!
